4,000 Wisconsin Nonprofits could lose their tax-exempt status this week

If your nonprofit has NOT filed an annual return in the past three years - even those with gross receipts normally under $25,000 - you could face automatic revocation of your tax-exempt status.
Unless you file by Monday, May 17, 2010.

Small organizations: Use the 990-N e-Postcard - it takes just minutes! Those with gross receipts normally under $25,000 answer eight simple questions. See this IRS page for more information and a link to e-file. If your organization's gross receipts are normally in excess of $25,000, you must file a Form 990 and not the e-postcard.
